“The Smiths non hanno mai suonato così bene”! E’ la frase con cui la Rhino promuove la pubblicazione, per la prima volta, dell’intero catalogo di The Smiths, completamente rimixato da Johnny Marr, disponibile in diversi formati e in uscita il 27 settembre (il 3 ottobre uscirà il cofanetto deluxe).

Il cofanetto versione cd, contiene i quattro studio album : “The Smiths” (1984), “Meat is murder” (1985), “The Queen is dead” (1986), “Strangeways, here we come” (1987), l’unico album live : “Rank” (1988) e le tre raccolte preferite dai fan : “Hatfull of hollow” (1984), “The world won’t listen” (1987), e “Louder than bombs” (1987). Il contenuto è lo stesso per il cofanetto che include gli 8lp.

Ma la vera chicca è il cofanetto deluxe, pubblicato in tiratura limitata e con le copie singolarmente numerate. Oltre agli 8 cd e lp, disponibili anche singolarmente, prevede anche 25 45 giri, l’intera collezione dei video riportati tutti su un dvd, i poster delle copertine degli album e dei singoli, un booklet con alcuni commenti di Johnny Marr. Una pubblicazione imperdibile!
